Moustache bar anyone?

Mr AM just got a handle bar change... to a moustache bar. Why so? Cuz I am looking to ride long distances slowly and the bar allows multiple grip points and makes for a comfortable ride. Here are some Moustache bar images I found..
Multi touch points = less sore palms = happy rider

Moulton looks abit fragile and many of my friends think it is just a fancy bike. Nice show bike but no go.... Here is a online thread which discuss on the touring capabilities.... wow! Very inspiring!

old is new again

We don't build things like that now...
looks like it was made for Mr AM
Flip open lid to access. Also good place for house keys/money  when riding. The black trim is foam to reduce rattling

I like old stuff.. feels like things were made more robustly and designed with heart. Maybe it is just my rose tinted perception.... Anyway, here is sharing how to make something old, new again.
1) Find a old generator lamp... look around sungei road or old bicycle shop.
2) Get a Top peak handlebar front light... @Rodalink
3) Open the old lamp and take out all th cable/old lightbulb.
4)  Remove LED mechanism from Toppeak cover, do a dry fit
5) Mix 5min epoxy, breathe... stick the toppeak light mechanism to the old reflector
6) go have coffee, eat a bun....
7) Done..now wait for night fall to try out

Topeak handlebar light. Small and good.. available at Rodalink
This is the internal LED  mechanism to use
This is how it looks at night... nice hor?
Ride bright, ride safe!

Moulton bicycles

Paul's bike souped up with Ultrega Rear D, carbon cranks and Tyrel rims... smooth!
Moulton bicycles, MIE - made in England. This bike is a strange oddity in the world of cycling. Why are people attracted to the brand? For me, it is the mystique of riding something handmade, something British. Even more so, I find that the bike  is a culmination of a man whole life efforts, Alex Moulton.  I am also intrigued by the space frame construction which is so beautiful visually. So how much is just marketing hype and how much is really real? I really don't know. Maybe it is also due to my day job as a product designer. I am drawn to brands that is unique and quirky. Rather than just selling the bike performance, there is also the history and story behind the brand.  I don't earn enough to buy a old Jaguar or any luxurious cars for that matter, but I think I can still eke out some for the rolls royce of cycling.... Stay tuned to read about my personal experience on the Moulton TSR.
